Very misleading title
This tiny, 56-page booklet had almost nothing about the topic of handwriting analysis. The last two pages just mention that handwriting styles indicate personality traits. Interesting, comprehensive, practical.
Between The Lines:Understanding Yourself And Others Through Handwriting Analysis is the sixth book written by Reed Hayes, a Certified Master Graphologist. (Graphology is the evaluation of handwriting.)Reed saysthat "handwriting is so closely tied to impulses from the brain thatit is a barometer of moods and of physical, emotional, and mentalhealth." He adds that "no magic is involved and theinterpretation of writing is quite logical and systematic."Handwriting analysis has a long and distinguished history, with one theearliest acknowledgments of its validity coming from Aristotle. Seventeenth century scholars were the first to develop an organized systemof analysis. Hayes devotes the bulk of his book to instructions onhow to analyze handwriting, starting with basics like how the writing as awhole appears on the page. He uses samples from many well-known people,including Georgia O'Keefe, Mark Twain, Abraham Lincoln, and Adolf Hitler,as well as everyday people. True analysis includes much more than justthe way the letters look.Hayes shows readers how to understand thesignificance of line spacing, pressure patterns, directions, and slants. Each factor is fully defined and illustrated.He also discusses why somepeople's signatures differ from their normal handwriting. Great read
this was an excellent book. It really made me interested in graphology. Ann Mahony goes into great detail to show us how our handwriting is the blueprint of our thoughts and how it is reflected in our personality.She explains how word spacing, line width, writing pressure, word size, word slant, style, and signature all ties into our personality, who we are privatly and publicly. I recomend this book to anyone who is remotely intersted in graphology or just seeking for insight to understand people more. Graphology is a very detailed science but it is so easy to learn.

Fun to read!!
The author had provided lively examples throughout the book as she illustrated the basic concept of graphology.Review exercises also helped in checking the understanding of the readers towards each of the topics. Solid, intelligent treatment of handwriting analysis
The author incorporates wisdom and insight about relationship characteristics into her discussion of handwriting analysis as a tool for greater understanding. She treats the reader intelligently, and avoids a facile approach such as "this sign means this, and that sign means that."The method of handwriting analysis used by the author is sophisticated and encourages the reader to look at a variety of handwriting features. She cautions the reader to consider interpretations from handwriting as a strong indicator of possible characterstics, but not a guarantee, nor the only tool for making decisions about relationships.Well written.

A different and fun book.Full of interesting stories and LOVE LETTERS
I'm enjoying Love Letters tremendously as it is not only entertaining but extremely informative.Once I pick it up I find it difficult to put down.It's presented in an easy-to-read style with numerous clear and interesting examples of handwriting. Fascinating, Informative and Wow!
I came across this book quite by accident and I am so pleased that I did. I had no idea that someone's handwriting could divulge so much personal information. Once I started reading Love Letters, I was inspecting everyone's handwriting trying to determine their personalities, it was great fun! Amazing Insight!
I had the pleasure of meeting Arlyn Imberman a year ago at which time I showed her the writing of someone I had just started dating. She gave me quite a bit of insight into this person -- including some traits that she thought could be frustrating and disappointing to me. Needless to say, within six months, I began to see some of these personality flaws at play and the relationship ended. Having been made aware of these hidden tendencies, I was far more prepared for the potential problems that ensued. When I heard about Arlyn's book, I rushed to buy and read it so that I could learn more about handwriting and what it reveals. Too confusing
This is the 5th book I've read on the subject and it was by far the most confusing.I consider myself to be in the intermediate level of handwriting analysis, but still found myself confused at the lack of explanations as to how the author drew his conclusions.Maybe it is for the more advanced student.I certainly would not recommend it for anyone other than someone with advance knowledge of graphology.
