Word-of-mouth is one of the most effective, and certainly powerful, marketing methods. Word-of-mouth opinions can make or break a product or a company, regardless of the use and extent of other "traditional" channels (e.g., advertising). Are there methods and practices that can be used to identify and harness word-of-mouth?

5-0 out of 5 stars Relaxing Coloring Book
Highly recommend Everyone's Mandala designs. Each one is different enough so I felt a sense of momentum as I colored through the book and complicated enough to keep my interest as well.On the other hand, each design had wide shapes so that I didn't get lost in the details.Coloring overall was relaxing.I'm definitely getting her other volumes.I might get this one again, too, because the designs can be colored in so many different color combinations.Really a treat!

5-0 out of 5 stars Engaging the Center
I purchased the whole series and look forward to coloring or painting them all. They are deeply engaging, neither too simple nor too complex; calling me into a calm center where hope and healing not only feel possible but just seem to happen.A very thoughtful and creative bonus from the author that I've not seen in other Mandala books is the wide perforated margin at the center binding in every book so you can actually remove and display your favorite mandalas afterwards. This rare feature also makes it especially friendly to those of us who are left-handers!!!

I've beenprivileged to meet Monique and I knowthat she is a seeker traveling herpath. Her walking stick is her love for all, especially children.Ms. Mandali offers a series of four coloring books forchildren and adults. There are three different delights in the originalEveryone's Mandala Coloring Book series, each consisting of 22 designs. While the original three books in the series contain designs by the author, the latest (and perhaps greatest) has 25 peace mandalas from children allaround the world. The Peace Mandala Coloring Book is very special becausethe mandalas are designed by children unencumbered by the pressure of adultliving. 5-0 out of 5 stars The best book ever written on emotional abuse
I have read many books on emotional abuse and this book, by far, is the best. Dr. Stosny must have been a fly on our wall over the last 25 years to be able to reiterate "verbatim" some of the conversations and events that have happened in our home.
5-0 out of 5 stars Extremely valuable and helpful book!!!
An angry or emotionally abusive relationship is overwhelming and confusing to both the husband and wife.Steven Stosny gives you a method with specific steps to take to get yourself out of this horrible situation, with both of you healing and hopefully saving your marriage. It is a remarkable book that has changed my life for the better.I have also been to his boot camp, which I highly recommend.Thank you Steven for giving my husband and I the tools to profoundly change our relationship back to a happy and loving one.

Steven Stosny has found a way to help each and every one of us do better in our relationships and to become the loving beings we were born to be.The book is extremely well written and gives practical advise for all of us on how to do better, whether we are irritated and a little resentful or in full blown emotional abuse. 5-0 out of 5 stars one of the best medical texts I have read....
As a physical therapist working in the field for 25 years, I have read many medical textbooks. I recently read "Massage for Orthpedic Conditions" by Thomas Hendrickson, D.C., and found it to be extremely well written, very organized and informative. It was an excellent review of anatomy, and clearly described the hows and whys of his unique massage techniques. I highly recommend it to any physical therapist, massage therapist or other allied health professional.

I was very interested in this book based on the reviews. I was able to look at it at the library before buying it. To my surprise, almost everything in the book requires two people. The book is more like an instruction book for a physical therapist. If you are looking for a book that you can use by yourself, I highly recommend The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Clair Davies.

5-0 out of 5 stars A tremendous help!
This book has been an absolute necessity for me as a massage therapy student! It has been much better than our required anatomy textbook for getting a good look at and understanding of the musculoskeletal system.I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to learn these areas of anatomy and especially for those working with massage/bodywork.A tremendously helpful book!

2-0 out of 5 stars General Information - Little Depth
The reviews I had read led me to expect great things.Perhaps that is why I was so disappointed. This book is "comprehensive" only in the sense that it briefly mentions many aspects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy. With regard to these mentions, however, I found it to be quite superficial. With only 176 pages prior to the Appendix, not much depth should be expected on any particular topic.3-0 out of 5 stars Reasonable Modern Book, but contains errors.
This is a fairly good representation of some modern techniques of hypnotherapy, many taken from NLP.It is certainly and by no means a "comprehensive guide" however. It is actually quite a short book.I have identified several factual errors in the book, mainly in the second chapter, the historical section. There are many questionable claims in this part of the book, they are not supported by a single historical reference or quotation. There are also straightforward errors in the account of linguistic terminology contained later in the book. Nevertheless, it is an interesting read and probably worth buying. It is not a great book on the subject, nor is it anywhere near being a comprehensive one.3-0 out of 5 stars Reasonable Modern Book, but contains errors.

A must have for beginers, even for therapists that have been in business for a while. Great marketing ideas and tips. This book has changed my practice, by not only giving me the confidence I needed but also to be able to follow through with ideas and the know how on how to do it in a more professional manner. Awesome book, kudos to Monica Reseberry!

5-0 out of 5 stars Loved it and couldn't put it down
It's been the best book on massage marketing that I have read and better than any massage marketing class that I have attended. I really couldn't put it down and spent all my down time reading. Most of the suggestions are in practice by many, I'm sure, but it's just some common sense advice that she gives or maybe just a positive attitude towards our service oriented careers that has made a big difference for me.I can't say that since I've read the book (one month ago) that I've had a surge in clients, but it's made the clients I have more satisfied. And my head is definitely filled with new ideas.

Editorial Review

As the physical practice of yoga has become popular in the West, many of the spiritual aspects have been lost. There is much more to yoga than reducing stress, increasing flexibility, looking great, and remaining youthful. Yoga is an ancient, integrated system designed to educate and unite body, mind, and spirit and teach the practitioner how to be present both on and off the mat.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful yoga reference manual!
Since I first began practicing yoga several years ago, I've read a ton of different books on the subject, and so far, this is one of my favorites.Author and yogi Donna Farhi takes some of the best elements from other works and combines them into an extremely readable, practical format. For example, she begins by reviewing the eight-limbed path of yoga and then focusing on a discussion of the "ten living principles" - basically, these are moral and spiritual guidelines from yogic philosophy. She then moves on to the asana limb, or the practice of yoga postures, and introduces seven "moving principles" (breathe, yield, radiate, center, support, align, engage) to assist the reader in gaining a greater body awareness within the poses.Farhi also reviews anatomical information in a way that is much more simple and more accessible than in The Anatomy of Yoga (although this is also a wonderful book).
5-0 out of 5 stars this book is thorough!
I have to say Donna Farhi really has done her work. This book has alot of wonderful tips. While I didn't follow them all I found alot of good ideas to enhance my practice. Unfortunately, I left this book on a plane and now need to purchase another. It is one I definitely want to own to refer to every once in awhile for fresh inspiration!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this book!
As a student and teacher of this ancient practice, I found this book invaluable. The beautiful photos and readable text make a lovely and educational partnership. As it did for me, this book can become a reliable resource of inspiration and instruction. I highly recomend it!!!!---Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not just for Cellists
This book is an excellent and precise treatment of the Alexander Technique.Although his examples are primarily for Cellists, Pianists, and singers, there's much that would apply to any musician.Occasionally academic, this book is well worth the patience.A moderate number of pictures are present.

3-0 out of 5 stars Stiff-necked
My teacher recommended this book as The Book To Read if I wanted to read a book about Alexander Technique as I was taking lessons. Obviously it's a book that works wonderfully for many people. I wasdisappointed, though. I found the book rigid and very dismissive of approaches the author didn't absolutely agree with, and obsessed with bolstering itself with citations and quotes. It almost deifies Alexander, and talks very specifically of positions etc. The impression I have of Alexander Technique from my lessons is completely different: it's about being open rather than closed to alternatives.5-0 out of 5 stars Musicians Read This!
Indirect Procedures stands by itself in the world of Alexander Technique books.Written by a cellist and Alexander teacher, it is the only book I know of exclusively devoted to musicians' issues. At the same time, it is a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practice of Alexander Technique with some photo illustrations. One caveat -Indirect Procedures is not light reading and this certainly sets it apart from most self-improvement books. It is thorough and detailed and very serious.Read more

This book is turning out to be a valuable tool for me in practice and teaching. I recommend it for students, teachers and health practitioners who want to use essential oils to enhance patient care. It is well-written, objective, practical and has extensive references, summary tables, appendices and index. As a physician, I appreciate its integrative approach. It is a good synthesis of history, chemistry, safety issues, experience, basic science, some of the most current clinical research, clinical applications and more. I especially liked the section on infection. In my opinion, it is an important work, which could well influence future research and clinical use of essential oils in the United States.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Resource
This is a great book for any health professional wishing to enhance patient care with aromatherapy. As a nurse, Ifind it to be an outstanding resource full of scientifically based information related to essential oils and their uses. Dr Buckle has included an easy to use index to guide the reader to information on a variety of diseases and conditions which respond to aromatherapyintervention. This is a "must read" for anyone incorporating aromatherapy into a clinical or community setting.

5-0 out of 5 stars An outstanding introduction to the Alexander Technique!
If you have heard of the Alexander Technique, but don't know much about it, or have heard a brief description from a friend that has left you befuddled, this book is an excellent introduction. If this book is not your first contact with the technique, I still highly recommend it.I had been taking lessons in the Alexander Technique for about a year when I first read it, and it provide a great supplement to what I had already learned.I often refer back to it.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wicked!
It's an awesome book, Be Here Now, entertaining and interesting.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Classic of Contemporary Spirituality
This book launched a spiritual renaissance for an entire generation. It starts out as a personal memoir, a Western academic who travels to India and finds answers to questions he didn't realize his soul was asking. Then, in the middle, Ram Dass shares some of the higher teachings of India, but in a way that makes you feel you are listening to a really cool individual who is also your friend. It is impossible for Ram Dass to be preachy. He's too down-to-earth, too fun, too "us". (As someone who has heard him speak several times, I can assure you, he speaks and is just like he writes.) The last part of the book is a short list of source materials, books and such, for those who wish to delve further into the subject. This mini-tome is a good introduction for those investigating the spiritual path. For those already on such a path, Be Here Now reminds us what we're trying to do, and why. I highly recommend it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Guided Mediations
This is a 2 CD set that includes 4 mediations: a guided body scan meditation, a breath meditation, a mindfullness mediation and a walking meditation. The body scan is about 20 minutes in length. I particulary enjoy the slowness and detail of the body scan meditation. The breath and mindfullness meditations have helped me stay focued at times when it is particularly difficult. This CD has helped me understand what to do as I sit in silence and I highly recommend this CD for people who are looking for assistance and/or guidance in mediation.(of course, the hard part of sitting and staying is still ours!!)

4-0 out of 5 stars Very complete and helpful meditation tape.
The one thing I liked so much about this tape was the step by step approach employed by Daniel Goleman. I was able to do new meditational techniques, such as walking meditation, etc., that I had never done before. The only reason I didn't give five stars to this flawless tape was the lackof clarity and resonance of Daniel Goleman's voice, perhaps putting thevolume higher can help. Daniel really gets down to business here and reallyteaches you effectively how to meditate and say good-bye to stress, anxiety, insomnia, aches, pains, headaches, many illnesses, etc. Hey thisguy could be a pharmaceutical company's nightmare, since you run the riskof helping yourself get well, without the use of medicines.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is the best meditation tape I've listened to!
I've listened to many meditation tapes and this one is the best so far.Goleman provides you with good insight about the benifits of meditation then gives you four great exercises. It's very relaxing.Everyone I'verecommended it to has also liked it.After awhile, you no longer need thetapes to meditate. ...
