Toxic Relief
It took cancer to wake me up.I now do everything I can to inform my family and friends of the of the importance of a health lifestyle and eating habits.This author also wrote "What you don't know may be killing you"These two books are great to accidently leave at a loved ones home.They are filled with tons of improtant messages and very easy to relate to examples are given that help you understand what actually is happening to your body. My dad has gone from drinking no water to probably half of what he needs but this is a start, he will read more the next time I leave another book by accident...This author is great!

MUST HAVE BOOK
Every man and woman needs to reed this book,because today we all suffer one way or another from what we eat and consume.The book opens our eyes and minds and offers us the weapons we need to win the new age fight with a toxic environment that is no longer out there but it has been absorbed by our internal GI system as well showing its ugly face when we look in the mirror or when we develope chronic or accute conditions that no conventional doctor can explain,and even more so ourselves the ultimate victims of the toxic lifestyle we live.

A Better Book By Far
This is a better book by far than the unfortunately better known INTERNAL BLEEDING.It is certainly more honest.It has the clear advantage of being written by people who know and understand the subject ,and unlike Internal Bleeding, it does not suffer the disadvantage of having been written by physicians who, purposfully or otherwise, seem very intent in obscuring the responsibility for medical mistakes.
Truth be told
This book is a well researched, well written must read for all Americans. The authors share their personal story as well as the stories of others who have suffered at the hands of a careless physician. While the stories will break your heart, they may also save your life, or the life of someone you love. While none of us want to believe that those we trust with our bodies and our lives would neglect a sacred trust, the fact is it is happening all too often.This book delivers the message without hype, fear or hysteria.Read it, share it and take it with you.

First do no harm
If even one person dies, that is one too many. But it is not just one, not even 10 or 100 patients who are maimed and dying from health care mistakes. Fabulous resource
This truly is a fabulous resource!The information is quite straightforward and covers a wide array of areas/issues that are certain to be impacted by the news of a loved one being ill.The components of the book cover areas such as understanding your feelings, how our fears play out in the ordeal, how to have conversations regarding the illness and ramifications of the illness, how to find resourceful medical care and how to balance one's role in life given the situation. This should be for coping with any medical problem
My spouse had heart disease. At the same time, I was looking for a book for a friend with cancer. I found Precious and read it before giving it as a gift. I realized the suggestions applied to my family. I started using the author's ideas immediately and it helped us tremendously. I find myself quoting her often in my volunteer work at church (with patients) and with friends. One friend called and said she was having serious problem coping with her husband's diabetes. She read the book and called to tell me that after following the advice in Precious, she saw a dramatic change in the way her family communicated and supported each other. Another friend said she was in an argument with her daughter about the father's illness. The mother used the suggestions in the book to calm her daughter down. Later that evening, the daughter (in her 30s) came up to her mom and said, "Thank you. What you said and how you said it was wonderful!" This book should not even have cancer on the cover. Everyone should read this book!
If you really want to understand how the body works and is being influenced by our environment you must read this book. What an eye-opener. The author is someone thinking ahead of his time and much of what he predicted has come true.

An exceptional book by a doctor ahead of his time
Dr. Becker is a brilliant medical researcher who has devoted his life to the study of something most doctors barely understand that it exists: the body's electrical system.
Electromedicine: Putting it on a scientific footing
Dr Robert O Becker is an orthopaedic surgeon who researched cell/limb regeneration and ended up as an expert on the effects of electricity on the body. His work puts a sound scientific basis to the area of electric fields. He quotes dozens of studies which are "sensitive" and brings together various disparate sources into a coherent whole.

A Well Kept Secret for the Astral Adventurer
I can think of no better training tool for the student of Meditation and especially the Science and Practice of Out of Body Experience (OOBE or sometimes called OBE) than this wonderful little book.

More than food for thought
The book could have been shorter, without a lot of the individual"sob stories", which I know help sensationalize a news article, but made the book drag on for me.

Outdated and Bias
A lot of the information suggests diets and foods that are not acceptable for everyone.They push macrobiotic and raw diets which are not the best.Many vegetables (such as tomatoes) need to be heated at a particular temperature enable to reach their full nutritional value.Also this book suggests many soy-based products, when in reality soy was created as an easy substitute to cow-dairy and is extremely processed.Many consumers are unaware of the fact that soy is very toxic to the body and is only nutritional when fermented (tempeh or miso).Someone who is allergic to cow-dairy should try goat-diary.Goat cells are smaller and easier for humans to digest, and has far more nutritional value and no allergens that cow diaryis exposed to.

I received this book as a gift. There are quite a few books on this subject on the market and this one is the best. I too could not put it down and finished it in 3 days. It's a huge book, a great resource that is well researched and written.. I have a few friends who've purchased this book and really loved it too. I can highly recommend this book.

Absolutely Awesome!
Though I am not quite yet within the demographic age group this treasure was targeted at I have been blessed with a better understanding of what will be necessary to sustain a better spiritual, physical and generally healthy lifestyle.I especially appreciated the writing style of the authors.The personal testimonies made the book very personal and relatable.I found the authors candid, knowledgeable and thorough in their research.This book is great for general reading and understanding (I like curling up with it on the sofa).It's also a must for every woman's personal reference library.

This is a powerful, thorough and scientifically-based book for African American Women. Highly recommended
This book was great, it really enlightened me to the mouth being the entry to the whole body.I will be going to an integrative, whole body dentist next!Definitely worth reading!

Compelling Information about Whole Body Dentistry
This was a very informative and well written book about "alternative dentistry". Dr. Breiner explains the differences between traditional and whole body dentistry in easy to understand terms. He gave many examples of the types of health problems which can be related to amalgams, root canals, periodontal work, orthodontics and bridges and partials. He also described the kind of exam and treatment a whole body dentist would use. A great read.

OK coverage, but 1 danger area
The discusions of mercury, fluoride etc. are satisfactory, but this book pushes the preposterous Electro-dermal screening. A.k.a Electo-accupuncture According to Voll (EAV): Voll,a German scientist who researched in the 50's, but the research has never been verified or validated. EAV is aused by naturopaths and homeopaths without any scientific backing, that, as a homepathic dentist, I'm aware of. ... Read more

The best in the business
Pett's work on nonparametric statistics is, without doubt, the best book available on nonparametric statistics.I have always been a champion of Siegel's classic.But Pett has an easy way of introducing each statistical procedure, explaining the mechanisms behind the procedure, clarifying the utilisation of the test, linking nicely with SPSS (albeit now a rather outdated version) and - best of all - gives guidelines for reporting the results.Pett's writing style is very accessible and precise - how nice to find a social worker who knows about statistics!Even novice researchers will find this book understandable.Check out her other work on factor analysis for a similarly outstanding work. ... Right on Target
Susan Keane Baker has so much knowledge in this important area of health care and she shares with us her many insights and suggestions in an interesting, easy-to-read manner. This is definitely a book for all health care professionals and executives to keep on a nearby shelf as a ready reference over the years. Susan covers so many topics that are essential for patient retention, such as anticipating patient needs and preferences and making sure that patient complaints are dealt with in a timely and caring manner. As a longtime consultant in patient communication myself, I can testify that my colleague Susan has done a superb job with this book. Its all there - which makes this 5 stars for sure. My daughter got diabetes at 8 months and I was clueless.She is 2 now and is wanting to eat more like everyone else.This book arms me with information to make good decisions for her.She is so small that just a few undosed carbs can really move her blood glucose high.It is a little frustrating at first until you get a feel for what foods are found where.Not all foods are in here, but what book can hope to list everything.If you are going to just buy one book or if this is your first carb book, this is the one to get. ... The perfect introduction to health care economics.
I wrote a paper on managed care competition for an economics course. This book proved invaluable. Without any previous knowledge of health economics, I was able to read, learn, and understand a fairly complex subject in ashort amount of time using this book.
