The best book for beginners to understand Macrobiotics
Herman gives very concise information, in an easy to understand format, as to how and why one might want to eat a Macrobiotic diet.He packs in a lot of statistical data and facts and figures, yet this doesn't overwhelm.A must read for anyone who's thinking about Macrobiotics.Now if only the publisher would print more! ... An MD looks at alternative Medicine
My friend Antonia has written a little book that will offer hope and comfort for all those with cancer, born out of her rightful authority,from the undisputed fact that by all medical standardsshe has cured herself ofcancer, not by the traditional five year cure ,but in fact by thealmosttwenty year cure.As a physician who believes in alternative medicine I commend her for a careful review of themany different methodsof alternative treatment which she outlines , with many references for thereader to follow up on ,as well as her reasons for her own choices. Perhaps we are only now beginning to realize the infinite power of themind, when combined with a healthier diet, exercise and a will to succeed. A sensitive and informative account of one woman's healing.
I found"Healing From Cancer" to bea thoughtful and insightful book which explores one woman's journey from dis-ease to a state of well-being.In this book Ms. Milo describes how she dealt with her diagnosis of breast cancer.She also discusses the responses she got fromthe world of allopathic medicine as contrasted with the realm ofalternative treatments.I enjoyed reading her odyssey from illness back tohealth and found it to be a fascinating account which touched upon variousalternative healing techniques including diet, acupuncture and meditation. I thought this book contained a lot of valuable information not only forsomeone who has been diagnosed with cancer but for anyone who is interestedin improving their quality of life. ... Read more
