Excellent guide to prevent and treat prostate cancer
I am a family nurse practitioner. I found the book to be very clear and comprehensive. If you're male and over 40, this is required reading!

Great on nutrition but biased & simplistic re: surgery
This book is entertainingly and enthusiastically written and gives excellent information on how to eat to avoid prostate cancer or counteract prostate cancer--help slow or stop its growth--once you have it.I was apalled, however, at how Arnot started his chapter on "surgery," describing two groups of couples in which the men had prostate cancer. The one, happy giggling group was composed of couples where the decision was to "watch and wait" regarding the prostate cancer--in other words, not have radiation or surgery for the present.In the other group, the men had had surgery within the previous year and "These men appeared morose, even depressed.Many complained of the need to wear diapers.Months after the operation, many no longer had any sex life at all." The most important book you many ever read....
This book could very easily save your life.While it reaffirmed things I know about fiber, insulin, and exercise, it gave me a lot of new information about how to keep from getting prostate cancer (like my fatherhad), and other important information.It also described "insulinresistance", which is something that I have and has baffeled my doctorfor well over a year! A must read for all women
My name is Sherry Lebed Davis and I am a Dance Movement Specialits for breast cancer survivors and travel all over the country teaching,training and presenting to breast cancer surviovrs and the healthcare community . I am also a breast cancer survivor who is always reading and trying to find answers to the many questions I am asked.This book has answered so many questions that surviors around the country ask me.Every survivor should read this book to answer questions they have now, and preventative stepsthey should know about to prevent reoccurrence. This book would be a wonderful guide for the Allied Health Professional.It would enable them to help their patients have a better quality of life, a true understanding of the wonderful studies that are cited in this book, get their life back on track and educate them about breast cancer. It is a must read for all women as an educational tool to learn as much as they can on how to try to prevent breast cancer. It is truely the best book on breast cancer I have read!

I want to get this book for all my female relatives!
This is an absolutely great and needed book!!!Breast cancer seems to run in my family and after seeing two grandmothers suffer from it, I decided to take things into my own hands!I decided to research prevention a little more after picking up a pamphlet from the American Cancer Society at my doctors office and under the "Best Defense" for Breast Cancer they listed only early detection!While breast exams and mammography are important, they only detect cancer once it has hit you!! Every woman should buy this book!
Ever since my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer I have read almost anything I can get my hands on regarding this dreadful disease.This book is by far the most outstanding I have read.I wish I had looked here first.Joseph Keon's 7-step plan is remarkable and so very easy to read.I've read it from cover to cover 3 or 4 times and have tried almost all of the recipes he suggests.They are just fantastic.I've watched my weight and exercised regularly most of my life....now I feel that, with his help, I'm on the right track with nutrition, too. If only we all would follow his advice, maybe there would be less people having to deal with breast cancer.I highly recommend reading this book.
