Modern Day Hairy Tales
I am not one to sit down and read a book but my wife convinced me to do so with this one.I have a grand daughter with Alopecia Universalis.This book opened my eyes and made me aware that I need to accept this disease because it will not go away. I think the less I know about Alopecia, it will not be real.Claire's book made me open my eyes to reality and I am the one that needs to cope with Alopecia.When my grand daughter was born she was so beautiful and perfect and I did not want to accept anything different.This book has showed me that I am not alone with my feelings and that my grand daughter is truly perfect.It was me all this time that needed this book, not my grand daughter.Thank you Claire Bush for helping me face reality.I love you Olivia, Poppy

What a great book.I have learned so much from reading this book.I have 3 daughters that are close to a little girl named Olivia with Alopecia Universalis.They have always accepted her and her condition but there area lot of children and grown ups that do not.I hope that this book becomesworld famous so that everyone will understand about hair loss andunderstand what these people are having to deal with.I would like to seeClaire Bush and this wonderful book on several talk shows in the nearfuture.

Book was okay!
The book was okay, but I was side track my all the typos the author made.He/she could not spell words like analyze (which was spelled analyse), Hair loss (which was spelled hair loose), losing (which was spelled loosing, Estrogen (which was spelled ostrogen the entire book), non existent (which was spelled none existent), etc....It was just so bizarre.You would think when publishing a book, you would at least hire a proof reader before finalizing. ... I love this book!!
This is my favorite book ever!!!!!!It is about a boy who likes to make potions and things to cure his school of germs.It is very cool and interesting.My favorite part is when he gives the principal a potion that makes his hair grow.It has funny parts that make you laugh.It has a glossary at the end of the book to tell you what the words that are hard to read or understand mean.The author does a great job and I really like his writing.ALl of his other kid's books are great and my parents love his adault books.You should buy and read all of his books.They are great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are all teaching tolerance, character education, and acceptance of others.Justin Matott's "Drinking Fountain Joe," does an excellent job of grabbing kids by the heart strings and showing them that the weird kid in their class, who is different (to say the least), may have some wonderful redeeming qualities. We have all known a "Drinking Fountain Joe." Many of these Joes grew up to be CEO's of large corporations. One of these Joesgrew up to be Justin Matott. We LOVED the story.

What a fun book

misleading title for the book
I was disapointed with the book, its more like a counsiling book than a hair loss book.If i wanted counsiling i would have bought a counsiling book.I read the book in an hour.

Good Book. Should be added to your reading list.
I don't get some of the negative reviews as the book never claims to cure or solve hairloss.Its clearly someone's take and experience on the matter and its a damn good one.You never read the stuff that this book talks about and it should be read by anyone who is looking seriously at this issue.Folks who are looking for desperate, quick fixes are going to end up making some stupid and rash decisions. When weighing your options or just looking to enlighten yourself in healthy ways of dealing with your hairloss, this book should be a must on your list of reading.

Figuratively and literally got "scalped"
What a rip off! Was not amused at all. Extremely misleading and deceptive. I have a very good sense of humor and appreciate this guys story but I would have appreciated some honesty in the advertising of this book, rather than a play on words. I would be more apt to laugh and see the point of his story if he would refund me back the price of the book and keep the shipping and handling as a "tip". The irony of this all is that this joker will probably make a sizeable amount of money from this book and then go visit some world renowned hair transplant surgeon for "the works". He will then release a sequel to his book and entitle it, "How I duped thousands and raised money for my hair transplant, and then some". What sucks more than losing your hair is losing money to jokers like this in the process. ... Read more
