5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
This book has changed the way I think of exercise, of health, of fitness, EVERYTHING! It's excellent! It's a well-written, easy to understand book that teaches you how to work out once a week for 30 minutes and receive benefits all week. I've been an RN for over 30 years and have learned things I had never understood correctly before.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very Good
The slow Burn takes alittle use to if you have been working out for sometime. You will most likly want to rush through the exercises but don't! Learning a new way of pushing the weights will improve your strength.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Exercise Method Really Works
I read this book and loved it and then went to Serious Strength Exercise Studio and it's hard work and wonderful. When I like something and it works I call it "The Real Deal" and this is it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not for me thanks--a very incomplete, unsatisfying program
Let me first say that I've done this program several times over the past few years, and stayed on it each time for at least 6 months. It did not do much for me. My physique did not change, nor did the way i felt. I'm in good shape anyway, but I certainly did not build muscle mass. As far as strength goes, there's no possible way to test whether these exercises really build strength or not. I suppose you could subjectively say whether you felt stronger doing day to day activities, or test yourself with weights but neither of those is optimal.
5-0 out of 5 stars Fast tone up, low price, and all you need to keep fit.
I am just doing the 7 tiger exercises now, but there are 6 other exercise groups in the book.I bought 3 more books for my kids and grandkids, because these exercises work. Also, you can do them anywhere, as no equipment is needed.Joe

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Exercise Book I Have Ever Purchased
This book is full of wonderful information and exercises that will change your way of living.I have been using the "Tiger Moves" ( 7 exercises that will change the shape of your body) for about two weeks now and have noticed a difference in my physique. There are workouts included for specific areas and I have tried them, and believe me they are challenging at the beginning, but the end result is worth it. You are working muscle against muscle and no expensive equipment is needed.

5-0 out of 5 stars BUY THIS BOOK!
Want to meditate? Can't meditate. Tried to meditate? Can't meditate. Gave up on ever meditating ... until I found this book in the bookstore (or it found me!). I'm 4 weeks into it and can't believe it (since I'm a master procrastinator). And, I already feel the benefits. This book is so clear, concise and speaks directly to the "real" questions beginning meditators have (even "what do I do if I have to pee!")
4-0 out of 5 stars Meditation
This is a great basic meditation book with applicable ideas to relieve stress in your life, especially for someone who does not have much time.

1-0 out of 5 stars What huge RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!
90% of all the exercises are strictly yoga poses.I am throughly disgusted that I spent my good money on a BIG RIP OFF!2/3 of the book is spent with Mr. Weisberg loving the view of his own words in print.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good Book
Prevention is the key with any joint pain issues and this book helps you understand and prevent them from occuring.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good advice despite the over-hyped title.
Hardly a "revolutionary" program for those who have read anything about the muscular-skeletal structure of the human body, the interrelations of muscles and joints, and the importance of keeping the muscles stretched. But the author does offer an inviting, simple, and feasible set of six exercises which, if done religiously every day, 30 seconds per exercise, can prevent further abuses and damage (the title's apparent promise of restoration or a "cure" seems a bit exaggerated).Compared to the impossibly long list of tedious, often painful and exhausting exercises given me by my PT, Dr. Weisberg's program is cause for a sigh of relief.

5-0 out of 5 stars question
I haven't used this book yet. I wanna know how many exercises does this book have? I'm looking for a book that has some good eye exercises, not just information about eyes, or basic stuff.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thorough and Clear
The information is presented in a very clear, well-organized, and succinct way.The instructions for the exercises are very clear and thorough.I especially like the "What to Watch For" and "Notes" sections for each exercise.I feel like it's hard not to do these exercises correctly with all the notes and observations the author adds. The testimonials at the beginning and the introductory chapters really gave me hope and enthusiasm in this program.I just started the program, but I feel this book will have been valuable even if I do not see improvement in the "First Stage" of the program.
5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the other books!
If you are looking around Amazon at all the different vision improvement books, this is the one that is worth investing in. It is clear, succinct, and offers a step by step program that is thoroughly outlines and easy to follow. A lot of the other books on the subject offer a lot of information, but fail to give the reader a program to follow. Martin Sussman's book also explains why and how vision works and why it will improve with this program. I just got the book, but already his techniques have completely changed my (previously negative)attitude toward my vision. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but not for me.
If you are completely desperate and need something really basic to follow, this is a good book.I'm overweight but these exercises were just too easy and I didn't feel challenged enough.I opted to start weight watchers and use some exercise videos instead.I did enjoy the book and it is very motivational if you want to start fresh.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nope not this one .....
I was disappointed with this book. He has his picture on every other page, literally. The numbering of chapters is confusing. I truely have gotten much more out of "Strong Women Stay Slim" by Miriam Nelson, which I got from the library, and now have purchased. I would suggest taking a look at Jorge's somewhere before making your purchase~ (do as I say, not as I do LOL) "Strong Women" just seemed so much simpler, and the drawings of the exercises are pleasant and clear. Often times I don't want to do the exercises, then I think "well, I'll just do the first one" and before I know it I've done them all and am feeling better. In fact, I have now ordered Nelson's book on arthritis. Note: There are only 6 basic exercises plus stretching in Nelson's work, so it certainly doesn't take much longer than Jorge's "8 Minutes."

1-0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
I bought this book with high hopes having read the reviews here on Amazon but was sorely dissapointed with the book.

Editorial Review

Fitness trainer Jorge Cruise has helped 3 million cyberspace clients lose weight, and now he's headed for your bookshelf with the same goal in mind. In just eight minutes a day, says Cruise, you can drop two pounds of fat per week, change your shape, and gain muscle and energy. His secret formula: an inspirational "wake-up talk," followed by strength training two muscle groups per day, eating according to his "eating card" program, and keeping a journal. For exercise, Cruise presents a varied, 28-day program of illustrated exercises using dumbbells. Why the emphasis on strength training? While aerobics burns calories while you're exercising, adding muscle revs up fat burning at rest by increasing your metabolic rate. Every pound of muscle you gain burns an extra 50 calories per day. You'll look better and feel younger and more energetic, resulting in more activity, burning more calories, he says. Cruise's eating plan emphasizes "good" (omega) fats, complex carbohydrates, high-quality protein (low in saturated fat), and vegetables, with dairy, fruits, and "treats and cravings" in moderation. His "Eating Card System" gives you an allotment of portions from each of the food groups. If you're the kind who likes the regimentation of following a specific program every day, Cruise will get you moving, eating better, and losing weight. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 8 minutes in the morning
My husband and I just Love this book, and all the excellent information,we ordered it and recieved it in no time,I would recomend this book to anyone. Trish Boone

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE THIS BOOK AND CONCEPT!
8 Minutes in the morning is a staple book in my house. I can talk myself into doing 8 minutes when I can barely talk my sorry backside off the couch! And it really helps. My waist trims down, my arms gain strength, and best of all, I don't feel guilty! Sure, I fall off of my good intentions bandwagon, but time and again, I pull the book back off the shelf...This book is particularly helpful for new mothers, when you're traveling, the homebound, the writer (me) who wrinkles my nose at most exercise routines, and those who find themselves short on time. If don't get that run in later in the day, you've still stretched, lifted weights and did your body some good.
2-0 out of 5 stars More than 8 minutes . . .
Just a warning - 8 minutes doesn't count warm up, stretching, or the time it takes you to get up from the floor and situated to the next exercise (something that I find really annoying and ineffecient!).

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Way to Start the Day - Or Any Other Moment
The power in this book isn't necessarily in the DOING of the exercises but the contemplation of these little activities. I find that picking the book up when I've got a moment and reading one or two of the exercises gives me ample pause and brings on the results at which the suggested activity aims. I can say that DOING the exercise does make the result more intense or satisfying but benefits can be had by simply taking a moment to think about the suggestion at hand. In any case, I recommend this easy to follow and effective manual to living a more peaceful and peaceable life. I suppose any book which has at its' heart such worthy objectives as living more peacefully can't be bad! It certainly worked for The Bible.

5-0 out of 5 stars Five Great Minutes
Five Good Minutes is a brilliant little book. It's compact so I can take it everywhere, and the meditations are very useful for daily life.Depending on my need/mood, I flip through to find a helpful meditation and then do it.I have had night anxiety for years. The relaxation meditation has helped me calm down before bed each night, alleviating stress and worry in order to fall asleep.I am grateful to have found this great little book!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Book!
This is a fabulous book.It helps make it easier to take the time for setting intentions, breathing, meditating, etc.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good book - works for me
I'm a golfer that has frequently had some degree of lower back pain.Suffered a severe lower back strain four months ago.Bought the book and started the routine after that.It has made a big difference for me.My back feels better than it has in years.I strongly recommend the book.

4-0 out of 5 stars A GOOD WHIPPING
This is an excellent book for dealing with this common problem afflicting so many people but it doesn't explain why Pilate ordered Jesus to be whipped. That is definitely not the way to relieve back pain!

3-0 out of 5 stars Thoughtfulm, safe process, but does it work????
I felt that Dr. Vad's approach was safe and logical. He has you perform easy basic exercises for some time, and then graduate to more strenuous exercises.I must say, though, as someone is in pretty fair physical condition to begin with, I felt the exercises were too basic, and not at all challenging. There didn't seem to be an abundance of info on treatments or back pain causes either.I guess though, the real proof is, "Did it work? Did following the program letter for letter improve my back pain?"And, in my case, which of course is very individual, after following the program to the "T" for 8 weeks, it really did nothing me.Decent book, but I'm still looking for the magic bullet. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Have followed the plan and have seen NO results!
As far as I am concerned, '8 Minutes in the Morning to a Flat Belly' was a total waste of my money.I've been following this workout and eating plan for over four months now and have seen no reduction in neither my belly size nor my weight.Frankly, I was seeing more results from my old Denise Austin Low Impact Aerobic Workout tape than this, so it looks like I'm saying goodbye to Jorge and going back to Denise.Sorry Jorge, I gave it my best shot but your plan just doesn't work for me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Exercises!
I really love the exercises in this book, and they really do help me! I have been adding more than just these exercises to my routine (mostly walking), but for toning, I love these.

3-0 out of 5 stars I'm so disappointed at the DVD!!!
I got this book shipped to me today. I've been hoping to see a well-structured DVD routine so I can follow, but how disappointed I am! Everything on the DVD, you can find at the T-Tapp website, there is no need to purchase this book and DVD. And I don't think 15 minutes of abs and "Hoe Down" exercise can help me lose much weight either, I've been doing kickbox and pilates, the T-Tapp moves are not very advanced for me. But I will give it a try anyway, mix it with my routine or do it after dinner to burn some calories.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent book
I bought the book as I had bought 2 of the workout dvds about 3 years ago but never really used them.I figured I'd give it another try and see what information the book might have to offer.I did the 14 day bootcamp and then did the basic plus workout everyday for another 14 days as well as sometimes doing the entire workout listed in the book.I only lost 1.5 inches in my waist. Not two dress sizes like the book promotes.I went on to the t-tapp website and posted my discouragement. Some of the instructors wrote back with some helpful hints and support. The workout helps my back feel better but I wouldn't buy it in order to lose two dress sizes because it probably won't happen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely delighted
I have never written a review before but have felt it was the least I could do for what I have received from this program.I purchased this book on impluse, and at the time was committed to doing my free weights routine from Joyce Vedral's book (one of her many).I was about 3 mths into the Joyce Vedral program and was beginning to see some improvement (which is about the time period her bk tells you to expect). Not needing to try yet another routine I found myself buying the T-Tapp book. After reading it over the weekend I was truly inspired by all of the wonderful testimonies, before and after pictures and the stated benefits (beyond body shaping) that the book covers.I started the routine and was able to accomplish the first fifteen min routine on my own but was really left wondering if I was missing something in my form so I redeemed my coupon and bot the DVD for the Total Workout (which with the 30% off and the free DVD in the back it is a good deal I think).Let me tell you, I am SO impressed with the results.I fortunately don't have pounds to loose just shaping up.Ever since I had my son at age 21 I started a pilgramage of what workout routine would finally get me back into shape.I also thought in the back of my mind that one day before I was old I would like to exprience what it would be like to be fit again.I have done yoga (Bikram), pilates, gym with weights, free weights at home, callanetics, lotte burk etc. etc.The thing that most impresses me about this program is that the results are so fast.A couple of weeks in and I was really seeing toning, flatter stomach and most importantly losing back fat!I kept asking my personal trainer (during the gym work out days) how to lose that and she said more cardio, but I never could make it budge and now four weeks into this program it has significantly reduced.I can't wait to see the continued improvement.I have every faith now that my idle fantasy of having a fit figure again is on it's way (and some my argue is already here). And one last thing for all the moms out there nothing, and I mean nothing, has come close to the speed with which my tummy has reduced and is on it's way to being flat.I just had to share because this is a fitness program that has this 40 year old feeling excited and not afraid of celebrating my future birthdays.I have every expectation that I will be looking great (and feeling great as well). ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Don't worry if you never get a chance to read it.
Heard a lot about this book- mainly that its suppose to give you a lot of good info if you have a problem with your rotator cuff. So, I bit the bullet and spent a whopping $160 on it (ouch!).
2-0 out of 5 stars 7 minutes? Yeah, if you're Superman....
I don't know if I'm just slow or what, but there's no way I could do the routines and solve my rotator cuff problem in a mere "7 minutes."The book gives the reader no less than 6 levels of exercises to do for an external rotator cuff injury. Sure the first level you can do in just a few minutes (its only three exercises, one set) but after that, levels 2-6 involve doing multiple sets which take a heck of a lot more time than just seven minutes!
5-0 out of 5 stars 7 Minute Rotator Cuff Solution
I had some missivings about spending so much for a book, but put it in the context of the cost of visiting the specialists in person to put it in perspective.Thankfully, the book delivers. It is very thorough, and explains "why" as well as "how", and importantly "how not to" deal with shoulder issues. I'm still not entirely pain free, but have made significant progress in 3 weeks. If you are looking for results, this is the book for you. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good
I stumbled across Jon Gordon in a book entitled "The Experts Guide to..." while I waited in a store while my girlfiend shopped. In there he gave a brief outline on having more energy, so I figured I would inquire and learn more.Since this book rec'd 5 stars from several reviews, I figured it was a good place to start and it is.The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is stuff we all know, and he manages to make it very accessible, making you realize you can achieve it.

Jon has a way of pulling you back to the basics. He helps you realize that properly focused time and energy using only 10 minutes a day can truly make a difference. Keeping it simple has a whole new meaning. More energy and less stress are just two of the by-products you gain from following this book.
5-0 out of 5 stars Daily Steps to Success!
Jon makes it so easy to get started-and starting is the KEY. Everyone has 10 minutes per day and everyone can `stand' doing something, even if they don't love it for only 10 minutes a day. However, you'll like the daily 10 minute plan Jon has designed for you. The simple and effective daily steps will have you making conscious steps toward increasing your positive energy each day. Success builds day-by-day and includes a component of prayer or contemplation that anchors these changes and increases your spiritual energy.

3-0 out of 5 stars Fab alternative stretch workout... except for all the yakking
The principle behind this yoga practice is similar to that of Yin yoga, where you hold poses for five minutes or more to stretch the connective tissue binding your organs and muscles. Connective tissue does not respond to bouncing stretches - only by holding a pose for five minutes or more will you be able to stretch it and get the chi to flow.
3-0 out of 5 stars UNsoothing boot camp talk for GREAT workout
This is a very challenging and GOOD yoga session. However, the tone he sets is that you're in bootcamp, and to "tough it out", rather than, "release and breathe" - the POINT of doing these to begin with.He also grunts and groans in this CD - uh, kinda weird.I have Kest's other Power Yoga videos that I LOVE, among several others that I use, but I did not like this CD.Of course "Power" Ashtanga style yoga is meant to be vigorous and challenging, but yoga should ALWAYS be SOOTHING to the mind, which this CD is not.

5-0 out of 5 stars Engrossing Session
I received this cd yesterday and started my day with it today. It was most engrossing and immediately created positive change in my body. The time went by quickly and it was hard to believe two hours had gone by. I will definitely improve with repeated use, but even 'out of the box' this session helped unkink many knots and much tension. By the penultimate asana, I was deep in another world.

5-0 out of 5 stars You've got to read this book!
I received this book as a gift. There are quite a few books on this subject on the market and this one is the best. I too could not put it down and finished it in 3 days. It's a huge book, a great resource that is well researched and written.. I have a few friends who've purchased this book and really loved it too. I can highly recommend this book.
5-0 out of 5 stars Denise did a great job again!
I love the format of this book.I just got it & noticed right away how well it's set up & organized in such a time-saving manner which will prove to be more useful & effective. I love all of Denise's products.

4-0 out of 5 stars Dynamic and varied.
I just bought the book, and I was really surprised by the many different ways one could utilize the ball and band.I have clients who only have an hour to get into the gym, change, workout and change back into their work clothes.I find these workouts convenient, because we get to focus on the training instead of looking for different weights and equipment-especially around lunchtime!

5-0 out of 5 stars useful info for back sufferers
I bought this when my husband was diagnosed with a herniated disk.Dr. Root offers concise explanations of the anatomy of the back and spine, the different types of back injury, and the range of available treatments. Also, the exercises are easy to follow, and now I do them (they are meant for people who don't have a serious injury, but who just have stiffness and minor pain)---and he makes a point of emphasizing care in self-treating and using "alternative" treatments without being dismissive. His views reflect the most up-to-date thinking on back pain--that surgery is rarely needed and exercise can fix most disk problems (like it did with my husband), and he helps you navigate the options (along with your orhtopedist).

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally did the trick
I had a bulging disk problem many years ago but had recovered. Recently I had my first serious flair up, and for two weeks none of my standard exercises worked.
5-0 out of 5 stars Saved My Back
Almost 30 years ago, my back was on a downward spiral. I progressed from annual episodes of "throwing my back out" to almost daily pain that varied from mildly annoying to activity stopping. I consulted doctors and chiropractors. As I was not bad enough for surgery, the doctors had little to offer. One chiropractor gave me an excellent treatment that seemed to cure me for a couple of years. He retired, and I was not helped by other chiropractors.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It does work
I found that the book helped break down something so complicated. When you think about all that is out there regarding skin. Q10 this and peptide that. I did not want to do botox or anything like that. I needed something that was clear. While I am not following the diet I have found great results. My skin is smoother, I don't look my age and I love it!It was really an easy commitment to make.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
This is basically a commercial pitch for Dr. Murad's spas and products. Unless you are planning on buying his regime, he gives very, very scant information about how you could accomplish the program using other, less expensive products.
5-0 out of 5 stars this is a good book - no subliminal marketing in my opinion
Wow.I have to say that after reading a couple of the other reviews on this book, I see that a few people missed the big picture. As a skin care professional myself, I completely understand why Dr. Murad would make the product recommendations he did in his book - it is because his are really the only formulas available right now that are 'complete' formulas to achieving healthy skin.People nowadays have a plethora of products to choose from...the challenge is, how do they choose the right products for their skin problem.Dr. Murad's approach is logical and medically sound. With the information he provides in his book, consumers will hopefully be able to make a more informed decision when it comes to choosing products for their skin. So, I am giving this book 5 stars. (I stumbled upon this book at my local library.) ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great review for Ophthalmologists
Throw away the Academy of Ophthalmology's optics book. This concise text is all you need.If you read it carefully, do the problems and really learn what it teaches, you will score very well on the OKAPs and board exams.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent program
This book gives the essentials for a thorough workout of each section of the abdominal wall:upper abs, lower abs, and obliques. When performed properly, the excercises deeply and thoroughly work each of these areas. The book streamlines the process for realistically sculpting defined abs and includes general advice on diet and muscular concentration.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST ABS BOOK EVER ON EARTH!
This book has really changed my life! Now I'm really enjoying a great nice abs which I never dreamt to have before. Even guys at gym are really astonished by the shape I have now.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply One of the Best Exercise Book!!!!!!
I am EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH AND GRATEFUL for this book--the explanations just make good senses. I studied it on a daily basis as I wanted to plan for my workout incorporating all elements of getting and staying fit. I used it as a book "mentor" to encourage me to follow the right stuff in this book. The big pictures he explained in exercise, mind, method, diet, and the long haul strategies is not matched by many books--it's explained so simple and yet so great! I appreciate this book very much. All the good solid honest stuff, no hypes. I'm a little more than beginning-level of training. I'm very disciplined most of the time. You'll benefit very fast if you have some dicipline for exercise. Body for Life gets me started to where I'm now; 3-Minute Abs puts me in another level of learning about fitness. Both of them are exceptional good books for people like me who just wanted to get fit and healthy. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars This program works.
I do a lot of knitting and fibercrafts and had to take long breaks from it to recuperate, sometimes days. With these exercises my hands feel fine even after many hours of knitting.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great resource for repetitive strain injuries
I am an Occupational Therapist who specializes in Hand Therapy.Kate` Montgomery's book is a very helpful resource for anyone suffering from repetitive strain injuries. This wholistic approach is a good blend of techniques from various health traditions. It is written in layman's terms with excellent illustrations that help you understand the cause of the pain and why you should follow the suggested program of stretches and massage. The self-massage techniques and exercises are especially helpful for those who need visual reminders of how to perform the various massage techniques and stretches. This book is a good supplement to treatment for those who are currently under the care of a health professional as well as those who are not in treatment. It is self-empowering for those willing to take responsibility for their health and follow the suggested 12 step corrective program on a daily basis. The sports balm is a helpful addition that promotes healing and relief of pain.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book is a must if you have wrist problems
I've been playing drums for 10 years and using a computer intensively for the last 4 years for both study and work. About 12 months ago i decided i hadn't been practising drums enough and started to play again like i had before i started using computers - BOOM!!! Within 2 weeks i realised the occaissional pain i felt in my right wrist and hand after a long day on the computer wasn't the same as sore legs after going jogging. I've had semi-permanent pain in my right wrist and hand ever since and i've been extremely depressed and freaked out about it. Read more
