5-0 out of 5 stars Fun with reading and movement
This was a great incorporation of words and movement, I read itto my 3.5 year old and he loves it,but I also think older children will have fun acting like each animal.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Shower Gift! Book Interests Babies at Many Levels!
I read FROM HEAD TO TOE to my baby, who is now 10 months old, and to a good friend's child, who is about 22 months old. Both enjoy it!
5-0 out of 5 stars My Infant Smiles Whenever He Sees This Book
We have enjoyed another of Eric Carle's books--Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See--since my son was a few weeks old.So, when my son was about 7 months old, I bought From Head to Toe.It was a wonderful purchase! After a few reads, my son was imitating the animals just like his mama--waving his arms like a monkey and on his hands and knees like the cat.It was so wonderful for me to see that my son was understanding and processing the books I read to him. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Games to Keep Kis Moving Review
There are many great game ideas in here that allow many students to be involved, however I found that many modifications to the suggested rules needed to be made for safety.I've found that pushing and pulling between students as part of the rules of the game is not only not necessary in many sports, but can be dangerous.Unfortunately this book used this "pushing & pulling" strategy a bit too much.Teaching students to work as a team can be done without encouraging overly aggressive behaviors. Many of this books ideas are worthwhile, but teachers need to think ahead and modify the rules so that safety is addressed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Mr Dieden's book kept me up all night!
I haven't read the book, but I was in Bob Dieden's gym class for several years, and his games certainly kept me moving! From Mat-ball to Backboard Bombardment to Mat-ball again, Mr. Dieden's games kept us kids healthy and happy.Except for Tristan, who really wasn't into athletics. Read more

Although the title put me off at first normally these kind of books are great in their simple concise explanations so I ordered it anyway.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Info forYoga Teachers
I just started teaching toddlers and everything in the book works so well. I have learned so much and my kids are having so much fun! This book is very comprehensive. Jody is passionate about her work with kids! She is a real pro and her work with music and movement is a delight!

4-0 out of 5 stars quite comprehensive
I thought this book was excellent--I'm using it with my four-year-old, who has learned all 5 yanas and is able to recite them. She loves doing the poses and it really changes her mood when she's grumpy.I only wish there were better pictures. Sometimes it is hard to follow the diirections with no pictures. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for teens who want to shape up - if you have time.
This workout certainly works. It definitely has done everything that it's promised it would.I've only been following the program for about three weeks, and I've noticed a drastic difference.I'm 19 years old, and even though I am in no way overweight, doing this program regularly has helped me lose over five pounds in the three-week span I've been doing it... and I haven't even been following the diet.
3-0 out of 5 stars Toning for teens
The workout was great..I did notice a difference. However, her nutrition section is wrong. There are better books out there than this one for weight/strength training.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Workout Book For Teens!
This book has helped me out a lot! Just to add a point, for all the people that are saying that the diet part of this book isn't good for you at all, it actually is...if you're a person over weight. The books states in the beginning that you should only do the exercises if you aren't over weight. If you are over weight try the exercises and do the diet plans.

5-0 out of 5 stars a must read for parents !
This book is full of great ideas . Not only are there many examples of easy activities without expensive equipment, but there are also suggestions for food recipes that will delight your children.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Fun!
This is an excellent book for fun, learning and just great family times. Some of the ideas are more complex then others so the activities you choose depend on your time and how much you want to get involved at that time.4-0 out of 5 stars Lots of different activities to keep your children in shape
While some ideas seem too much work and/or time involved, it's a great book. What I liked about this book is that it gives you lots of fun facts throughout the book. For each activity, it lists materials you need and the directions on how to do that activity. At the end of the book, it lists magazines, organizations, and websites relating to Family Fun. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Loved This Book, Use It Daily
This is a really great book that helped me wake up to how my children really should be eating. My whole family drinks the protein shakes...even my 3 1/2 year old son who is pickier than all get out. When my 1 year old daughter was 6 months old I became very ill and had to discontinue nursing due to the medication that I was on.I immediatly put her on the goat milk formula found in this book, and she has absolutely thrived on it.I would recommend this book to any mother, new or not, simply for the benefits that her whole family will enjoy due to the bright light that this book shines on healthy, affordable, feasible, eating and living.

5-0 out of 5 stars Train Up Your Children in the Ways They Should Eat
My family had been suffering from severe chemical posioning. We all had difficulties with foods we were eating, because of the damge to our digestive tracts.Although we had found a altenative Dr. and were on the road to recovery we by were no means healthy. By the grace of God, I found out about the Broer's. After researching and reading this book and Max. Energy I found out the foods we are putting into our bodies can't and won't allow us to detox properly. Astounding info on the "food" we are consuming in massive quanities. If you have any concern for your children's health and your own this is a must have book!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for any parent with a child of any age!
This is an incredible book and I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to prevent health problems rather than just react to them. The information is easy to understand and the author explains the principles behind her recommendations so you can understand and explain it to others. Everyone I have allowed to lay their hands on my precious and much loved copy haven't been able to put it down! I have yet to find another nutritional guide for infants and toddlers that is this informative and indepth about the short and long term effects of childhood nutrition. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Basis for a Youth Program
This book was an excellent reference that I relied heavily upon to create a strength training program for our Pop Warner football team. Faigenbaum has published results of studies documenting the benefits of strength training for children. This book provides good description of exercises for each muscle group and provides variations using different equipment, .i.e. free weights- dumbbells and barbells, resistance bands and weight machines. One ommission in the book was that his published paper revealed a program that proved superior to others in controlled experiments in terms of results gained.
5-0 out of 5 stars Required for parents of active children
Even if you are an experienced athlete yourself, and former power lifter (like me), this book is great for the research it presents about children and weightlifting, and for the organization of the material.I found the medicine ball portion particularly helpful.Very good pictures.

5-0 out of 5 stars Strength in a powerful book
Strength and Power for Young Athletes is a tremendous help to athletes with both high and low athletic standards and abilities. It is very easy to read and follow. It has appendixes for each sport and categories for each age group.Pictures and a key of what each machine works helps you understand each machine easier.Nutrition guides of carbs and protien is also a big help. This book is great for keeping you in shape. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great First Step
This book isn't meant to replace a visit to your family physician, but to educate and inform parents so they can make the right decision. If your child has been diagnosed with ADD, this book will help you get a better handle on the disorder, help you understand what your child is going through, and help you help your doctor properly treat your child. If you suspect your child has ADD, but aren't ready to take your child to the doctor, this is a good first-step. Get All About Attention Deficit Disorder, read it, and if you feel your child meets the criteria for ADD, contact your family physician for an appointment.

4-0 out of 5 stars Clear and comprehensive
Dr. Phelan uses real life examples to illustrate his didactic narrative. He explains concepts clearly and cuts quickly to the heart of important issues. I particularly enjoyed his discussion of the process getting an evaluation for AD/HD. He advocates a thorough, systematic approach to diagnosis. He explains how to make sure that the professionals have covered all of the bases.5-0 out of 5 stars A major contribution to ADD studies, discussions, and plans.
Now in a newly updated edition, Thomas Phelan's All About Attention Deficit Disorder continues to be one of the most "readerfriendly" introductions and explanations for parents, teachers andcare-givers of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Phelan covers symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment for ADD children and adults. Highly recommendedfor personal, professional, school and community library collections, AllAbout Attention Deficit Disorder will provide information, tools, andemotional support needed by anyone dealing with a loved one, student, orpatient with this difficult, biologically based, psychologically impactingdisorder. ...
