This book is excellent.40 years old, but excellent.It is presented in a logical, easy to understand format.The information in the book is based on research that Doctor Cooper did as an Air Force doc in Texas.While giving "aerobic points" to a variety of exercises and sports, Dr. Cooper presents to the reader that jogging/running is the simplest, most effective way, to improve your cardiovascular and pulmonary health.

Excellent Book. This book described exactly what I needed to know: how many training zones they are? how much time you have to spend everyweek in every zone depending on your own goals? And most important of all it helped me develop my marathon training based on the heart rate and zone training.

This book is fun to read and straight-forward in it's information on exercise and nutrition.The hip graphics and photos of many different types of people demonstrating the exercises make the book interesting to browse through. The instructions for the exercises not only tell you how to do a certain move, but they tell you what you should be feeling and where.No special equipment is needed for the workout routines - in place of weights you may use cans, books, rollerblades, anything. The only part I didn't find especially helpful was the body type section - once you find out your body type, there's not a lot of info. on what types of exercises are best for it.All in all, though this is an easy-to-follow and informative read that will make you want to get moving. ... My 5 year old Pre-K"er" brought this book home from the school library.He and his 2 year old brother loved it so much (I read it 5 times that afternoon) I ordered it from Amazon that day.I also sent it to a 4thgrade teacher friend for her 2 year old daughter.She ended up reading itto her students who also loved it!My boys love to"hippy hippyshake" and "slide to the side" while I'm reading!

I first encountered this book about sixteen years ago when losing weight was not an issue for me.I did want to be in better shape, though, and in three months of using the Synergetics program, I lost seven pounds and a dress size and got compliments from friends.

I have been doing these exercises for about a month and absolutely feel great.I also have the video and was wondering if there were any additional videos with more advanced moves.I never thought that these simple moves could make me feel so much better and give me increased energy.

The exercises are truely amazing and I am speaking here from my own experience. I started the exercises half heartedly - but was pleasantly surprised to see and feel the results in only a couple of weeks.
