Every family needs a copy!
The odds are that stroke happens to just about every family sooner or later.
I keep copies on hand
I really like this book.I keep several copies on hand, and when I hear of someone with coping with a stroke in the family I have one to give to them right away.

Excellent, simple language, encouraging!
I found this book after my mother suffered her first stroke. I only wish I had found it earlier, it would have saved me a lot of frustration. I didn't understand what my mom was going through or her thoughts. The book openedmy eyes. Another wonderful book by Marge Rieder!
Dr. Marge Rieder is an absolute delight.Her newest book expands on and wraps up the story from "Mission To Millboro" and "Return To Millboro" (both of which I highly recommend.This book also includes some additional chapters about hypnosis (you must read the fascinating study she did with identical twins) in general and hypnosis for various physical afflictions such as paralysis.You can tell from her books that Dr. Reider is a warm, compassionate person who wants to help everyone.She has practiced hypnosis for many, many years and has some fascinating stories to tell.If you are a student of reincaration or if you're interested in hypnosis used for physical problems then you must read this book! ... Important reading for building an "aphasia-friendly" world
Aphasia is an invisible disability. It has a profound impact on people's lives. This book is the first one I have seen that discusses the challenges of aphasia in the words of people who are living with it. If you are trying to wrap your head around the meaning of aphasia or want some insight into that world, read this book! It is written in plain English, free of jargon or professional language, with lots of life stories that illustrate the major points.

Helping me understand her feelings/thoughts
