Excellent Resource
There are numerous "first aid" books on the market, but this is the book to buy.This hand book offers a wealth of information in a concise easy to read format.Medical jargon is kept to a minimum and the handbook guides you on when you need to contact a physician/seek medical assistance and/or how to treat your self at home.It also offers suggestions for what you need to take to your doctor's office each time you go, how to more adequately explain why you are seeking medical attention, and what questions you should ask before leaving the office.I highly recommend this book for personal use, as well as to give as gifts to others.

Healthwise is so Empowering
I have purchased over 20 copies of this book.It is just excellent for young families--and others--empowering them to be partners in their own healthcare.I just LOVE mine--and I made sure that my own children had their own as they left home.I give them as gifts at weddings, baby showers, and graduations.

A good read and reference book.
Everyone who comes into our home seems to enjoy dipping into this book.It has given me a clearer insight into small niggling ailments.Reading the section on the nose, page 350 on, has been useful.Also, the sectionon nutrition has been acted upon!
