Don't be afraid of alternative therapies.
This book helped us understand the diverse views of the different arthritis treatments and offered good advice.My elderly aunt has been plagued with arthritis for years and hasn't always been willing to tryalternative treatments. As her pain progressed we convinced her to try theglucosamine and condroitan blends. She is seeing substantial improvements!Our daughter is taking it as a way to heal her back injuries due to anaccident. She no longer needs those heavy duty pain killers.An additionalsite that offers more documentation as well as these (and others)supplements is iHerb. They do a wonderful job at documenting the diversenutritional supplements they supply and their service is reliable. In fact,I think I first read about Theodosakis' books on their site. Treatarthritis naturally and see how much better you feel without those painkillers that make your mind fuzzy.

Not for the single person
This book is definitely intended for those who are married and have families -- indeed, one of the four steps is all about dealing withloved ones and the impact the disease has on them. It might be helpful for those who have a family member with fibromyalgia, but it is USELESS if you are single and live alone, as many of the suggested solutions involve having another member of your household help you. Sadly, my cats refuse to cooperate. Far more helpful is "Fibromyalgia and Chronic Myofascial Pain: A Survival Manual" (2nd ed.) by Devin Starlanyl and Mary Ellen Copeland.

EXTREMELY helpful book .... I feel like a"NEW " person!
I've been following MOST of what "Natural Choices for Fibromyalgia" suggested and after suffering from Fibromyalgia symptoms for almost 10 years, this is the best I've felt. The best part is that I'm NOT even taking anymore pain/sleeping pills!!
I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone suffering from FMS.
Natural Choices for Fibromyalgia is VERY informative and I learned so much about how nutrition does actually play a HUGE part in helping with my Fibromyalgia symptoms.

Not worth it.
I decided to read this book out of curiosity's sake. I wish I hadn't bothered. I don't think Colbert really understands what FM or CFS really are, nor does he really understand the best way to treat these illnesses. While diet changes certainly help many, it is not the be-all and end-all in treating these illnesses.

To Your Good Health
I like books that mix the spiritually with good health sense (diet, stress reduction, supplaments, etc).Take it one step further.I like Henry Wright's book, "A More Excellent Way" which delves into spiritual causes for disease.Not to give too much away, but why does Fibromyalgia hit 90% women and only 10% men?

I have had Fibromyalgia for over 10 years and am also a Christian. So naturally I was very interested in Dr. Colbert's book, "The Bible Cure For Chronic Fatigue And Fibromyalgia" which by its title, seemed to combine these two elements.Read more

Great title, but missed the mark
This book holds great promise in the title, however the author fails in two major areas.First, as he explains his therapeutic approach he makes reference to feeling magnetic fields from the subject's body.I highly doubt that this is possible for any human, but even if he is able to do this it is not reasonable to assume that this skill can be transferred.Second, he repeatedly recommends feeling the underlying tissues and bringing them into alignment.While this seems more plausible than feeling magnetic fields, it remains highly doubtful that anyone not doing this on a daily basis will ever develop the skill to feel tissue below several layers of skin, fat, and other connective tissue.
Great book for any practioner
Bill Weintrab presents emerging scientific information for manual therapists and practitioners that specialize in the treatment soft tissue injuries. This book can be appreciated by both practitioner and patient and gives light on the surprisingly dynamic nature of tendons and ligaments. In addition to the case studies he has an in depth chapter on self-help techinques. With the increasing number of injuries to tendons and ligaments from repetitve stress such as carpal tunnel syndrome and sports injuries, it is refreshing to read scientific information as a solid basis for hope in treating these injuies with conservative care

Groundbreaking approach for healing injuries
In Weintraub's book he brings clarity and hopefulness to the non-surgical approach to injury (chronic and acute) recovery processes and strategies.He offers insight regarding larger whole-body patterns that influence the injury site and therefore must be addressed in the recovery process.As can be seen in his case studies, treatment is never solely a matter of specific attention to the injury site but must include attention to the related body systems as well.Read more

Gold Standard for referencing Anatomy
I am a Doctor of Chiropractic. I talked to other health care providers and they all agree that Frank Netter is thebest reference author. The way he goes about explaining the different condition of the musculoskeltal conditions/ mechanism of injury, and gives you the treatment procall is so easy to read and most important of all so easy to understand.
