The Straight Scoop on Rare Lymphomas
Detailed information on lymphomas of the skin is extremely rare.Actual diagnosis is very hard as patients go from doctor to doctor.This book, while aimed a bit more towards professionals, is still is a wealth of information for the patient or loved one who looks for information on cutaneous/skin lymphomas when it is not obtainable elsewhere.

Great Book; Great Doctor
This book is a must for any melanoma patient or their family.
This book is a must!
If you've been diagnosed with melanoma, this book is a must! The day I was told I had cancer, I was so frightened and confused. The doctor asked me if I had any questions, and I couldn't think of anything! The word "cancer!" just kept going through my mind. After reading this book, I was able to clear my head and not only ask questions, but ask the "right" questions. The only thing it didn't cover is the fact that it is sometimes difficult to diagnose melanoma. Sometimes the results are not black or white...there are also grey areas. But all in all, this book was extremely informative. Highly recomended.

Opened my eyes...
I am at high risk for skin cancer being pale skinned, light eyed, blonde and living in San Diego. I never knew it was better for me to use sunblock and stay out of the sun instead of trying to go for a base tan, especially in a tanner. Tans only have a suncreen of SPF 5, come to find out. And even people with naturally dark skin need to wear sunblock because they can get skin cancer too, often in parts that go unchecked due to the fact people think their darker skin isn't at risk! These are two of the many "myths" brought out in this guide. Everyone should read this book so they know the facts about these horrible diseases.Read more

Very Informative
I suggest that you keep an open mind about skin cancer and that there are much better methods of curing skin cancer, especially basal cell and squamous cell cancer and also keratosis.I had keratosis on the back of my thigh and also I have a history of skin cancer.After I read the book, I placed an order of the medication mentioned in the book and used it.Guess what?The stuff mentioned in the book REALLY works.I am tired of the butchery of the dermatologists.Of course, I still go to a dermatologist for checkups but I refuse to let him butcher me!!!!!!!!!!!

Not too bad
This book was not too bad for a reference regarding Melanoma, however, the information is beginning to become a bit dated.

Not quite good
It tells you how to make the operations, some physiology about skin cancer and a lot of pictures but there is no explanation on pictures that would clarify why exactly that picture classifies as certain type of skin cancer. You have to make your own theory. best skin cancer book available

The definitive text.
I wrote a very long review on this book for the American Journal of Dermatopathology in 2002 (Am J Dermatopathol 2002; 24:169-179).In brief, if you are interested at all in neoplasms of the hair follicle, this is the book to read.This is a great historical work that will set the groundwork for all future thought in this area of dermatopathology.

Essential text for all dermatologists & dermpaths
I have a bookshelf of dermpath texts but keep Bernie's silver book on my desk.His writing is pithy and lucid.I prefer the format of this new edition to that of the "gold book" (edition 1) since allinformation on an entity is in one place.I recommend this text forresidents and practising physicians. ...
