Very Surprised!
I bought this book not knowing fully what it was all about.I was very surprised to discover that my 3rd grade daughter has been doing these exercies since kidnergarten, just under a different name - Brain Gym.Many exercises are the same, they just have different names such as cross crawl, brain buttons, turning our listening ears on, etc.They have definetly helped her in school. Her teachers have taught them to her, so I am excited to learn the exercises too.

I first heard of Adam back in February 2006 when I got a Life Path reading from a very helpful tarot & tea leaf reader in Nanaimo. I have read all his books and even have his DVD :) He gets to the point and is sharing his knowledge and gift of healing that all of us can do. I really like how he shares his stories of his life and how he explains the Universal Energy in terms that have no specific religious origin. Everyone can benefit from this universal energy no matter what belief system you have. I highly recommend this book to all who went to better their lives and learn to heal themselves and others. If you continue on a positive path, those around you will do the same :)

Very user friendly energy tips
I bought this kit on the recommendation of other reviews - always wonder if they are genuine.They were very accurate.This is a great package.I am a tactile therapist and use energy within my treatments.These dvd, book, cards and cd present many energy techniques in a simple and accessible format.Great to use for myself and I have been passing on some techniques to clients already.I am very happy with my purchase.

Tried it and WOWit worked for me
This kit arrived for my birthday and I used the cut-glass crystal as instructed and could really feel and even see the interaction of the spinning crystal with my finger energy. I could feel tingling in my meridians and more energy. The crystal is not used as a pendulum but is twisted to make it spin over key areas.Really very intriguing and effective.Then I had to do other things and got in at 10 pm.Thought I would watch the DVD.Did the exercises along with the DVD.Then thought I'd do some internet research. Got up to stretch and thought the clock must have stopped.It was 4 am and I didn't feel tired at all!I was so energized that Ihardly slept even when I got to bed.Had to get up at 8 am so thought, well, I'll do the exercizes I learned to help me through the day since I didn't sleep hardly at all.I had a great day and was extremely energetic.People commented.And I am a person who is tired all the time and gets sick from missing sleep! I love this stuff and am amazed how incredibly well it worked! But in the future I will certainly be more careful about charging up before going to bed!

A Must Have for Reiki students and teachers
I have used William Rand's book as a text in my classes for over 11 years so I am familiar with his work. It is all good. This package is the best of the best.
A Wonderful Gift
I am a Reiki Teacher and I just loved the kit. Highly recommend....
I am grateful for this qigong training course. I have tried a couple of other videos for qigong practice but this IS THE course to have if you are to have one. I'm using the techniques in concert with the treatment I have received for rheumatoid arthritis and have been pleasantly suprised by the results. This has been noted by the accupuncturist as well. Treatments in the western medicine are expensive and I am happy to note that I have been having far better results with the practice of qigong complimenting my treatments.

Significant contribution to Qigong Education
Many of us cannot always get to places in California, the West Coast or the North Eastern US to meet and train with skilled Qigong Teachers. This kit addresses both personal graduated training and depth of style. Where it is most important is the ability to target the 100 days by a skilled weekly program where progress is obvious. Too many Qigong media detail exercises or procedures in books or video that show the "completed" forms and do not graduate these for new learners. Beginners like myself find this approach difficult to follow. Starting Qigong disciplines is like learning to ride a horse and has to be learned in stages. Ken Cohen has achieved this in a most inexpensive manner. Keep up the good work!.

Qigong has become a little fashionable of late, but the fact is that it is demonstrably effective for maintaining health, and there is a growing body of decent research indicating that it may also be a useful adjunctive treatment for an array of illnesses.

Pretty good!

Five Tibetans
Being a yoga practitioner for 6 years now - I found this book to be an excellent resource for those who want a quick effective yoga workout - those who don't have the time to do an hour a day as I do. It is also good for when you travel as it requires no mats, blocks, blankets or any of the other props needed for most yoga regimes. Only thing I found disconcerting was the First Tibetan which made me naseuous. I have to assume this would subside with time.Well written and easy to follow. A simple but effective book.

Great exercises, more info would be helpful though
The exercises are great, I was recommended to buy this book and start doing them. Although I've been doing them for only two days, I already feel better. However, I have to say that the book is small, and, while the execution technique is properly explained, that is not enough. I also do qigong (beginner), and knew some other things that help, but it would have been nice if the book addressed to total beginners and explained what else is important. For example, do the same number of repetitions for each exercise. Why? Because the purpose of the tibetans is to synchronize the speed of chakras (hubs/vortexes of bodily energy), and to achieve that you have to do the same number. Even if you can do better for some exercises - don't - work up until you improve the weak ones and increase the number for all of them at the same time. ... Read more

Yes, A Useful Walking Technique
While ChiRunning was the first running technique book I'd ever read, ChiWalking is definitely the first walking book I've ever set eyes on. With something that we do almost unconsciously, it's kind of silly to think that we'd need an instructional on how to put one foot in front of the other, right?

Great Book

Great Reference Guide
This book is loaded with tons of useful information.I just purchased the book and have not finished reading it, but this is definately a book that I will always keep and use as a reference.The information is written in an easily understand manner and is very detailed with regard to each chakra.

If you only buy one this should be it.
This book goes well beyond the basics that are found in other books.Anodea Judith laces her work with insightful theory and psychology, to help you grow and connect.It has all the basics, but also much more.This is a great book to help you establish a chakra balancing practice.These are tools you can use throughout your life to help you keep balanced even in times of disaster and suffering.

Super excellent production
This book is super excellent on every part. Is concise, very graphic and very easy to understand. The best is that has every theme on the same book. The only thing I don't like is the external plastic cover because it fall apart so quikly. The rest is fabulous.

Touch for health- new edition
It is a very complete edition compared to the last ones which i felt were sub standard. The only thing i would have found useful were - if the colour of the tabs represented the colours of the 5 elements. its a small detail perhaps but important to a practitioner. otherwise excellently laid out.

Healing Ancient Wounds: The Renegade's Wisdom
This book was first loaned to me. I enjoyed it so much I purchased my own copy. It does a great job of explaining myofacial release and myofacial unwinding in layman's terms. I am recovering from a near fatal car crash and a physical therapist is using these techniques to help me recover physically and release the cellular trauma of the crash through unwinding. John Barnes is a dynamic person and the book held my interest through many anecdotal stories.

Why pay for an overlong advert?
The book is interesting as a portrayal of the guy and the great work he does but lets be honest it is just one long advertorial.I also have my questions over the artist's choice of female, a rather young nubile woman, to accompany the glorifying images of Mr Barnes.

Do I say WOW now or later? - or both?
When I was first introduced to Myofascial Release (as taught by John Barnes), I had to know more.I talked my therapist into loaning me this book and read it in less than 24 hours.I was fascinated.As I read it, I knew I had to have a copy of the book for myself, so I ordered it from Amazon.I have read the book a total of 3 times now and find something new in it every time I read it.I also find that I can pick it up and open it to any page and find words that I need to hear at that moment.Recently I had the privilege of receiving treatment from the amazing therapists and John Barnes himself in his Sedona, AZ Myofascial Release (MFR) Treatment Center.It was an awesome experience.Before receiving MFR treatments from my local therapist, I couldn't do my grocery shopping on my feet.I was shopping for a wheelchair when I discovered Myofascial Release and have since climbed up into three mountains.Needless to say, this has changed my life! ... Powerful tool for physical and emotional transformation
Anodea Judith's Chakra Balancing Kit continues to amaze me.I first bought her Eastern Body Western Mind about five years ago as I was beginning on the path of personal awareness and growth.I found that book to be extremely informative as I navigated the early stages of my own awakening conciousness.The information was somewhat overwhelming at times.If the Balancing Kit had been around when I first began this work I think I would have chosen to buy it first.The book Eastern Body seems to supplement the Balancing Kit well.The information in the kit is more accessible and the applications of the ideas much more practical.I would recommend this kit to anyone who is serious about exploring themselves more deeply.

Worth reading
An excellent book on the basics of quantum healing.It was written simply enought that I bought another copy and sent it to my 13-year-old grandson; I wish I had started to teach myself how to help others with their pain when I was younger.It's a very practical book, easy to read, easy to follow and easy to put the methods into practice.Thank you, Mr. Gordon, for writing it.

As Chunyi teaches, the energy vibrations of love, kindness and forgiveness are where the healing power comes from.
Qigong is an ancient practice in China, though it was outlawed during the Cultural Revolution and wasn't openly taught and practiced again until the late 1970s. Even so, much of the teaching is still closely guarded and revealed to only a select few. Qigong is based on the principle that everything is energy. The sky, the air, a rock, our bodies and even our thoughts are all forms of energy. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be transformed. Qigong teaches you how to transform energy for personal growth, health, healing and happiness. It involves a breathing technique, movements, mental focus and meditation. The basic concept of qigong is that energy balance is necessary for optimum health and wellness. When the body's flow of energy becomes blocked, then illness or complications can arise. The problem may be physical, mental or emotional. To resolve the problem, the energy blockage or blockages need to be removed, and the body's natural energy balance restored. Traditional qigong masters still teach their students that it is necessary to follow years of rigid adherence to very disciplined and often difficult techniques in order to experience the benefits of qigong practice and be able to assist others. This is how Chunyi Lin was taught.
Looks promising
This book is convincing, and I plan to try his approach. I appreciate knowing his background and realize he can't teach the entire program in what is basically a book to get you interested and he gives you enough instruction to begin his program. If you are in a hurry, order one of his video courses at the same time. Otherwise, work with the book, see how it goes, and then order the videos. Some things need to be seen as well as described. The chapters where people tell their experience are extremely helpful. I also ordered a video and two CDs, and the CD that leads you through a breathing meditation is very helpful. I asked my Bowen Technique therapist about this specific appropach and she said it is very powerful.

For Taichi players, meditators, chi healers, Tao seekers, et al ....
This book is probably the only one I've found that answers the real questions: "What is chi? Where did it come from? and, what can you do with it?"While the last section of the book illustrates some basic taichi exercises that anyone can do at home, the content would be valuable to those studying acupuncture, herbal medicine, meditation, or chi healing as well -- not just taichi students.Warning: This book looks and sounds deceptively simple, but inside are some pretty intense statements about the Tao, the nature of life and mind and the soul which aren't the usual stuff. It will definitely challenge you to expand your views on taichi and Taoism. Since I like that type of challenge, I give this five stars.

At home therapy
If you think that you might benefit from "therapy", listen to these programs.A large part of the effort of therapy is getting an individual to open to themselves, to see themselves as they really are, as a precursor to making changes in their life.Caroline Myss's recordings of "Energy Anatomy" and "Advanced Energy Anatomy" open the door to that introspection, giving you a framework in which to see your past life, and present actions.True, you may not agree with everything she says.But I guarantee you will find yourself nodding in agreement over and over again, at the insightful ways she presents the workings of human minds and emotions.And you will find Caroline Myss offering you answers to many of the questions you've asked yourself ("Why do I do this?""Why did I do that?") over the years.I'm not recommending you forego therapy, if you really need it.Professional therapy can be very valuable.But I am saying that Caroline's recordings are a terrific way of getting in touch with yourself, and seeing yourself clearly (maybe for the first time), regardless of whether you want to pursue professional counseling, or not.And because (as Caroline says) the mind and emotions are prime determinants of the health of the body, this is an excellent series for anyone interested in taking good care of their body, and creating the best health possible for a vibrant and very happy life.

I listened to the first Energy Anatomy set and loved it, so I bought the Advanced set.I was disappointed.There is less actual material, more pontificating.Fewer real life stories, more bold, brazen and mostly unusable assertions.Above all there is far less charm, humility, humor and humanity.Myss must have a clientele of new-age noodle heads who enjoy being berated.Or maybe she's just sick of her audience.But she says a lot of things like "you have no idea what the consequences of any action will be, and your foolish to think you do".Well, if that were true, getting from your bathroom to your car in the morning would be impossible, right?She says "you have absolutely no idea how much you've been influenced by the social mind."Well, actually I've given this quite a bit of thought, Carolyn, but then you wouldn't know that because YOU HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA who I am.
