From Harmone Hell to Harmone Well
This is a very enlightening book that every woman should read, no matter her age.It will help the reader to become informed about their bodies and how they react with and without the proper hormones.It should also help the woman discuss issues with their physcians and help them to decide the type to hormone replacement they would like.

Insightful
I have read many books on human identical hormones. Dr. Randolph offers a helpful, and slightly different perspective on the benefits of this kind of HRT. If you are interested in getting a view from a medical doctor who truly understands what women and men go through with hormonal fluctuations, you will want to add this book to your collection.

One of the Best Chopra Books! The Core of it all.
Exceptional and brief book that hits the nail on the head with the main ideas and practices that can transform your life and help you to achieve what you want. I believe that Chopra initially did not like the word success for this book because it often registers for people as more materialistic than he means. This is a about life success in a grand and overarching way. Outstanding and HIGHLY Recommended!

I have read most all of Deepak Chopra's books - this one has a different presentaton style and makes for an entertaining reading and learning experience! A Practical Guide to Help Us Decode Our Emotional Garbage

Unbelievably informative!
This is a spectacular book, even if you never get cancer! One of the very best parts is on Dr. Johanna Budwig and her amazing therapies. Although I have been studying natural and alternative health protocols for many years now, I had not yet heard of her work.Dr. Budwig was nominated for the Nobel Prize SEVEN times because of her amazing results in her biochemistry lab. and medical practice, using Organic Cold-pressed High Lignan Flaxseed Oil and Organic Cottage Cheese (or other high quality organic proteins).She cured DECADES worth of clients with her nutritional recipes, even those who had other degenerative diseases...NOT just cancer.Unfortunately, most Western governments hush-hushed her findings and did not allow this information to be made public, because it would take business away from big pharmaceutical companies!!!

Chinese Herbal Medicine: Formulas and Strategies
As a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine I can attest to the value of this book's information. It is a fantastic reference book and provides practitioners with detailed formulae descriptions, analysis of formulae and is invaluable to any Chinese medicine practitioner.
Bensky's Formuales & Strategies
This is a classical book about Herbal Formulaes. I have read it several times and consult it often. I believe Strategy refers to how an herbologist will be able to use the book to add or modify ingridient and dosage. Unlike the review I wrote for "Material Medica", I find this is a useful book with much needed information to come up with a prescription. Needless to say the translation of this book is choppy in many places. The authors can keep the terms more to the point. These flowerly terms used is a minus.

A Valuable Introduction andResource
The workbook, two guided meditation CD's and study guide provide the beginner to Vipassana (Insight) meditation with all they need to begin and sustain their meditation practice. Theory and practice wrapped up in one package. For content and price it is hard to beat.

Must Have Book for Anyone Involved in the 12 Steps
This book is truly a must have, inspiring, comprehensive, and enlightening guide through the 12 steps within any recovery program.I have used this with countless clients in therapy and have had nothing but great results.This book is highly recommended for all clinicians and anybody wising to grow in the 12 step process.

Stronger for Addicts than Co-Addicts?
Patrick Carnes has been a grounder-breaker in every sense concerning sexual addiction. I feel ambivalent about this offering, however. I think on the whole it's a stronger book for addicts than for codependents. The material seems to revolve around addiction with co-addiction serving as an afterthought, both figuratively and literally. As a recovering codependent, I yearn for materials that address my issues head-on instead of relating me to the addicts in my life. Something about this material makes me feel second-class and doesn't inspire me to go as deeply as I could.

Yoga Nidra Meditation CD
I have been using Yoga Nidra in my teaching work for years and find this CD to be a very useful addition, informationally and practically as far as the meditation included on the CD is concerned.
It really works
Every time I come home from work and feel stress, overwhelming with the everything, I just turned this CD on and started my meditation.
Delivers the goods
A friend recommended this CD. I do not know the author, either. I have used it daily for the past month and love it. I like the fact that there is only a voice directing me through the meditation, it helps to focus. If I use it a night, I fall asleep immediately and sleep without interruption until morning (unless my cat wants to be let out early). Alternatively, I use it in the late afternoon to relax from the stress of the day, before beginning evening chores. I am a yoga practitioner and have also felt its benefits in my asana practice. ... Years of success with this book
I've used this book as a reference for many new parents to assist them for over 20 years, my own daughter is a result of using this book and I can't say enough about the benefits of this book, Vimala is terrific for having researched abd written the fantastic book.

Love this book...it is very encouraging.I like "Holding Time" just as well...although the basis is different.I like the similarity.A great read for anyone interested in bonding deeper w/ their children.

This book is nice, but for the same price you can buy a DVD on the subject.I like Aimee Ketchum's DVD because not only does she do a great job of demonstrating baby massage, but she also gives lots of information on how your baby develops.Her massage method lasts only 4-5 minutes per session. I really don't have the time to spend an hour giving my baby a massage.There is so much more information on her DVD about your baby and how simple exercises can help your baby's brain development and lots and lots of other stuff.I just don't see why you'd want to buy a book with only massage pictures in it when you can buy a DVD with not only lots of massage info, but also has tons and tons of other simple stuff you can do with your baby. It makes so much sense and you don't need to buy anything else. Plus Aimee has a nice personality and you can tell she really cares. She's very qualified and is a pediatric OT plus certified massage therapist for babies, like Gweneth Paltro hires to massage her baby. ... Read more

A useful text for western students
Traditionally, ayurveda has been taught orally, with reference to ancient texts like the works of Charaka, Sushruta and Vagbhata; references that are still used today. These writings, which are believed to date thousands of years, contain the eternal and universal principles of the natural science of ayurveda; however they also contain therapies and lifestyle prescriptions which are hopelessly archaic; and materia medica which are no longer accessible (e.g. opium and camel's urine!). With the spread of ayurveda to the West, there emerged a great need for a text that not only catered to the western mode of thinking and education, but that also made connections between the ayurvedic view of anatomy and physiology, and that of the West. This book attempts to do just that.
A "Complete Guide"
I've recently purchased several ayurvedic books and will be returning most of them now.This book has everything.I MUST have.It is very thorough and extremely interesting.Not just a rehashing of information found elsewhere.If you only have one book - get this one!

A must have for the Ayurvedic student!
Thank you Vasant Lad for this great tool that helps one unlock the truth called Ayurveda. Vasant Lad has presented a true text book that will become a companion of the modern day Ayurvedic student. Normally if one was to source concise information on the fundamentals of Ayurveda then one had the difficult task of studying the translations of Caraka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Vagbhata Samhita. While these texts are the foundation for modern Ayurveda they can be daunting to the student new to this amazing science. The only other method was to correlate information from books written by Vasant Lad, David Frawley, Atreya, Robert Svoboda, Subhash Ranade, Maya Tiwari etc.... and then one would build up a collection of information from different sources. Whilst this is not a bad thing (and I will continue to read books offered from these great teachers) finding enough detailed information was sometimes very hard. "The Text Book of Ayurveda: Fundamental Principles" is truly amazing. It is a must for the serious student of Ayurveda. Vasant Lad has indicated that this if the first of three, the next two dealing with; the clinical assessment of health and disease, and the management of disease. The contents of this book is vast, it covers all aspects of the philosophical foundation that Ayurveda stands upon, The Tridosha, Agni, The Seven Dhatu, The Fifteen Srotas, Ojas, Tejas, Prana, Digestion and Nutrition, to be honest this does no justice to what is actually in this textbook. I have not even finished reading this book yet, and already, I am feeling a lot less pain.I am a 27-year-old woman.I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, abdominal wall pain, and irritable bowel syndrome.I have been through physical therapy, special diets, and a chronic pain clinic, not to mention a boatload of painkillers. Sceptic Turned Believer
I am a writer/editor who endured seven years of carpel tunnel-like symptoms: tingling, pain, weakness, and numbness from both wrists all the way up to my neck. I underwent every possible treatment, mainstream and alternative, but nothing worked. One day, someone who had similar pain told me how she was cured by this book. Fantastic book
One of the best books I have read on alternative treatments. The chapters on Protocel were fantastic. Anyone contemplating using Protocel should definitely read this book!

Outsmart Your Cancer Reader Review
Overall, I thought that the book presents a credible case for using alternative treatments for cancer although there are substantial areas where clarification is needed. The author, Tanya Harter Pierce, is not a doctor and states that the book is the result of extensive personal research carried out by herself after a family member was diagnosed with cancer.

Title is Misleading
As a student of psychoanalysis there is very little in this CD that relates to the subconscious or unconscious mind and it's affects on the body. The problem is that this CD has been mistitled.Perhaps if it had been a more honest title I would not have been so disappointed.
nothing new to me, and some info. was not particularly true
I love the movie, "what the bleep do we know" therefore I bought these CD's thinking they would be almost as good; as she is one of the scientist on the movie.Alot of it is true, but at one point she talked about sickness in CD #1 which is not, in my opinion true.

Holistic Health
We need a new science, one that not just cares for the body or to the mind but to the two together, as inseparable parts of the person. The lack of information about emotional stress and the body means that medication is often prescribed in lieu of other treatments. Children and adults are given major medications for an array of syndromes and their symptoms such as chest pain, back aches, neck pain, weakness in limbs and upset stomachs, which can often be successfully treated without medication, particularly with early intervention.

Excellent and Effective Instruction in Reiki Healing Practices
I have read all three of Steve Murray's books on Reiki, Reiki The Ultimate Guide, Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3, and hope to purchase his latest book on false beliefs as soon as it is available.The books are a clear and straightforward instruction in Reiki, Reiki practice specifics like grounding, protection, intention, preparation for both healing practitioner and recipient, and ethical considerations.Although I have previously been given Reiki attunement, I chose to purchase the 1st Level, 2nd Level, and Master Level Attunement DVDs and experience them from Steve Murray.The attunements were exceptional and I have every confidence that I am completely aligned with the wonderful universal life energy of Reiki both for my own personal benefit and to offer in service to others.Additionally, I have purchased both the Psychic Attunement and Healing Attunement DVDs and would highly recommend these to practitioners, students, and anyone interest in Reiki.

This book tells what other Reiki books don't
The first line of this book, which says "I believe at this very moment as you read this, our vibrations and energies are connected in the now". As soon as I read this I felt I am connected to Steve. I felt connected to his vibrations all throughout this book. I did finish the book in only a few hours. This book tells what other Reiki books don't. This is a must read for all the people who want to find the secrets which are generally hidden by reiki masters. It tells in detail, about all the attunement process, step by step with pictures. All the symbols are there with pictures and how to activate them. Some people feel that that the symbols should not be displayed like this. I disagree completely, I know that the symbols are sacred and should be treated with respect but I don't see a reason that why they should be hidden. And without attunement these symbols are just drawings, they cant be activated. Steve has also written about his experiences and the different things he does while giving treatments. This information isvery valuable. This book does not contain any history of reiki or any other political views about reiki. All it contains is Reiki. There is also a chapter about how to contact the departed ones and the angels. This is a very informative chapter and it can help many people who want to contact their loved ones who crossed over suddenly or need any guidance from them for their higher good.
Get this book!
Steve Murray's commitment to making Reiki training easily available to everyone is a blessing! I have copies of several of his books, including this one, as well as the Reiki Master Attunement DVD. Having experience as a Level 2 Reiki practitioner prior to obtaining Steve's material, I was amazed to find much of what I struggled with and wondered about, explained in his easy to understand books with great photos! I already had other Reiki books, but Steve's are much more helpful. Don't let any critics tell you that Steve can't teach Reiki through books and DVDs. Energy has no limits. Upon completing my Reiki Master Attunement with his DVD, my abilities to use Reiki for healing, channeling and psychic connections were greatly enhanced within just a few days. Four Stars, Not Five--Here's Why:
I'm a Hodgkin's patient who's almost finished reading this book. I found it to be an easy, quick read that felt good since it validated everything I feel about illness and life in general already. My guess is most of the reviewers who gave this book five stars are the same.
Dr. Siegel helped my spouse to live two years, three months rather than six months to a year
My spouse, Lynne Behar Eagen, upon initial diagnosis in November 1993, had stage four colon cancer.The prognosis was six months to a year. However, in part, Dr. Siegel's book helped her change her worldview, her way of seeing the world and responding to the world, which assisted her in living longer than was anticipated. My loving lady Lynne died February 26, 1996.
Inspirational
I originally bought this for a friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer. After flipping through it I had to buy two more copies, one for another friend and one for myself. Even if you don't have cancer, a disease or an infection I think you will find lots of inspiration and a lot of practical advice in this book. This book is an easy read. There are a lot of amazing true stories sprinkled throughout the chapters. I've always believed in miracles being possible when our mind/body communication is opened up. I have found similar books to be disappointing. This is a very large book with a lot of information that allows you to tailor treatments for you and your family. I have owned the book for about a year and have yet to find an ailment that wasn't covered.

FAST WEIGHT LOSS...
My husband and I both followed the Master Cleanse with great results. He lost 11 lbs and I lost 16 lbs in 10 days! This is coming from two people who aren't over weight or have any health problems. After a while we both grew very tired of the lemonade and this eventually lead to the completion of the program. Over all a good challenge to resist food for 10 days and feel/look great after. This book is a great buy...if you have 10 days and want fast results, this is a program for you. Good luck...

Lose Weight, Have More Energy & Be Happier in 10 Days, Second Edition
I can't deny the benefits of this diet.The book is a quick read, provides basic instructions with simple explanations for each portion of the diet and is very specific about which products you need.The diet on the other hand, is 10 days of drinking things that taste terrible (especially the 32 oz. of salt water each morning - good luck with that one) and about 80 trips to the can every day.I recommend taking the week off or working from home unless you have a private facility for yourself at your place of employment. ...
